Repairs in Marina and JLT towers
Most homes in Dubai Marina and JLT are apartments in tall towers, often furnished with built-in appliances: integrated fridges, dishwashers behind kitchen panels, built-in microwaves and washer-dryer combos inside a utility cupboard. These appliances are compact, closely fitted and need careful work.
Many towers ask contractors to register in advance or carry a work permit, and some only allow work at certain hours. Tell us your tower and community when you book. We will send the technician's name, phone and Emirates ID details if your building management asks for them.
Seaside air and your appliances
Homes close to the water face humid, salty air for much of the year. Over time this can corrode electrical connections, door hinges and the metal parts of appliances placed on balconies or in poorly ventilated utility rooms.
- Washer-dryers in closed utility cupboards can trap moisture. Leave the door open after a wash.
- Keep the fridge's back and bottom vents free of dust so the compressor doesn't overheat.
- If a dryer is in a cupboard, clean the condenser regularly so it doesn't stop drying.
